The Awning Place is a division of B&C Awnings, Inc. All The Awning Place products are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. Please see the product specifications for warranty time frames and details. Please contact us for assistance with warranty issues for products purchased through our website.
B&C Awnings, Inc. warrants its products for a period of one (1) year from the date of original product manufacture.* Certain fabrics, materials, and other components used in the fabrication of B&C Awnings’ products may carry warranties and prorated warranties of differing lengths provided by their manufacturer(s). In all cases, B&C Awnings, Inc. warranties do not exceed one (1) year from the date of original product manufacture. B&C Awnings’ warranties specifically exclude product damage or personal injury due to neglect, improper use, improper installation, or improper maintenance and for damage or injury due to acts of nature.
Warranty claims will be reviewed on a pro-rated case-by-case basis. Warranty replacement and shipping fees may apply at the owner's expense. See Limits of Liability and product Features & Specifications for more details
Damage Policy
All The Awning Place products are shipped FOB Origin. FOB (Free-On-Board) Origin means that The Awning Place pays all freight charges, the Buyer owns the goods while in transit, and the Buyer files any damage claims. Title passes to the Buyer at the moment the goods are transferred from the manufacturer to the carrier. The Buyer must file any claim (as the owner of freight) for any damaged incurred en route to the destination.
BEFORE signing any shipment documents, customers are advised to inspect all packages received, and to report ANY product or package damage immediately to the freight company. Please be sure to note damages on the delivery paperwork and contact The Awning Place as soon as possible. Orders with damaged or defective merchandise must be reported to The Awning Place within 5-days of the delivery date of your order.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Damaged freight (e.g. crushed or torn boxes, broken or torn materials) must be documented with the freight carrier at the time of delivery. Failure to report freight damage to the freight carrier at the time of delivery will eliminate the possibility of customer compensation for freight damaged products. Damages due to misuse, carelessness or incorrect installation are NOT covered. If a product supplied by The Awning Place is found to contain a manufacturing defect, Awnings.com will replace only the product found to be defective. Because all The Awning Place products are custom made, we do not offer product returns, exchanges or refunds.
